I'm from Washington DC, where I grew up under the guidance of Quakers as a gleeful middle child. I attended Yale University, which furnished me with a handy BA in East Asian Studies, and I took a detour during college to study for one semester in Beijing and another at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Later, Actors Theatre of Louisville seduced me away from New York, and during my time developing new plays in Kentucky, I met the four people who became my writing and producing collaborators. We are The Associates, and I am proud to be the Artistic Director of our company.
